Beverly Park / Village Center

Walk-to-the-Park Streets Along Beverly Road and the Rouge

The streets framing Beverly Park and the village’s Beverly Road spine — the closest thing the Village of Beverly Hills has to a walkable center.

About Beverly Park / Village Center

The Beverly Park / Village Center pocket wraps the village’s signature 34-acre Beverly Park, anchored at 18801 Beverly Road on the south side of Beverly Road (13½ Mile) between Southfield and Evergreen. This is where village life concentrates — the seasonal events, the sled hill in winter, the disc golf course along the south end, the modern playscape and pavilion, the nature trail tracing the Rouge River corridor up to the mill pond at Riverside Park. Homes on the streets feeding the park trade on that walk-to-the-park premise.

Housing here mirrors the rest of the village: mid-century single-family Colonials, ranches, and split-levels platted out in the post-war boom, well-maintained, on mature lots without an HOA on most streets. The architectural mix the village is known for — Colonial Revival alongside genuine mid-century modern — shows up prominently in this section, partly because some of the village’s earliest plats hugged the river and the park land.

Schools are the same Birmingham Public Schools draw that pulls buyers to every Beverly Hills address: Beverly Elementary (Niche A) is directly inside the village and many Beverly Park-adjacent homes are an easy walk; from there the path runs to Berkshire Middle School and, depending on specific address, Groves High School (A+) or Seaholm. Greenfield Elementary serves a portion of the village on the Greenfield Road side.

Beyond the park itself, location does most of the work. Downtown Birmingham sits a short drive north, the Somerset Collection a few minutes east in Troy, Corewell Health Beaumont Royal Oak roughly fifteen minutes southeast, and Bingham Farms and Southfield’s office corridor immediately south. For buyers who want the Birmingham Schools draw and a genuine village feel — park, river, sled hill, neighbors who know each other — this is the part of Beverly Hills that delivers most literally on the pitch.
